About The Sleeper Lab

Behind The Sleeper Lab is Trent Smith, a hands-on installer whose interest in car audio began at 16. Today, he owns and operates The Sleeper Lab, a disabled veteran-owned business that brings mobile installation services directly to customers. His experience includes vehicle electronics, emergency lighting, radio equipment and custom audio installations.

Built for the trade and the customer

We work on cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs, helping owners and fleet operators plan systems around how they use their vehicles. Each project starts with understanding the customer’s needs, whether that means integrating audio with factory equipment or installing electrical accessories, lighting and communications equipment.

Our approach is straightforward: clear, concise communication and careful attention to the installation. The goal is a purposeful build, with consideration for how the system will be used and serviced.
